Joe,
I am building a small (8x10) workshop and will use a shed roof.
Back wall will be 9'4"; front 8'.
I'll use 2x6 rafters (14' long). My question is this - Can I determine the template for my birds mouth cuts by holding an end rafter in place and scribing the birds mouth cuts on it then using it as a template for all the remaining rafters? Rafters will run the 10' depth of the shed and be on 16" centers.

Joe, can you help me get started on a 12x24 garage.
I'm looking to make it similar to this plan http://www.bgsplanco.com/plan.cfm?ID=1004
Possible increasing the pitch.
I want to use a ridge board/rafter style roof frame.
Do you have any tips on cutting the birds mouth part of the rafters?
Any advise will be appreciated.
Thanks
Jason Simon
